The pandemic and its subsequent de-escalation meant a disaster for nightlife, leading to great difference in activity and, therefore, a hard blow to its turnover.

Up to that time, nightlife was one of the most frequent activities among the Spanish population, thich invested part of its income in these pastimes every weekend. However, fear, the prevention of contagion and increasingly strict sanitary measures brought this business to a point where they were less and less used.

Three years later, with hardly any risk and a practically total vaccination rate, we can see that life is returning to normal and this “cosmopolitan life” is being reinstated, gaining more and more strength again among young people.

Precisely, these last three years have been a continuous failure for this type of business where losses were their daily routine. For this reason, and due to the growing and notorious demand of the public, prices have increased notably, turning what used to be a common pastime into an activity that tends more and more to exclusivity and luxury. This has led the public to invest less and less in luxurious rooms such as the reserved rooms and to pay a common entrance on the dance floor like everyone else.

What is a VIP in a nightclub?

It is a secluded place within the club itself. A room outside the dance floor but nevertheless is within the same room. This gives the contractors of this service a more exclusive air because to be inside this, they have had to pay a greater amount of money. Generally it is usually double.

These rooms applied to other areas could resemble a VIP box inside a soccer stadium or a VIP room inside a theater, where you can enjoy the performance or show, but in a more intimate and private way.

In addition, these rooms are usually accompanied by an offer of drinks according to the price you pay to be there. They are often located on the side of the club or behind the guest artist.

What do you look for when hiring a reserved room in a nightclub?

As we have said before, hiring a reserved room means a greater investment of money that night, therefore, what are the reasons that move the contractors of this service?

It is relatively normal to find actors, musicians or even sportsmen partying with well-known personalities. However, and as a general rule, they always tend to choose this option because for them, something more intimate is always less overwhelming and therefore more fun.

Another quite common option is the celebration of some kind of event. The reason for this is to keep the guests centralized in a place where they can move freely and dance without being overwhelmed and stressed.

Finally, another option to hire this service is to ensure the entrance and also not having to wait in line to enter. In the most fashionable and trendy nightclubs, there are often queues that can last for hours. In this way the attendees make sure that they will no fall into the trap of full capacity.

Types of VIPs

Earlier we also mentioned that both the offer and the position of the VIP vary depending on what the contracting party is willing to pay. In this way, and depending on the nightclub, there are more VIP places to access depending on the amount paid.

Depending on the nightclub, the offer is different, there are nightclubs in which the most important reserved ones are in a particular zone where only the people who pay that high figure can be and there are others that for that price give you a pass to move freely by all the spaces of the nightclub. Generally, the most expensive space is usually behind the DJ or resident artist.

Regarding the offer, it also varies depending on the amount paid, offering us better the higher the price we are willing to pay.

Sometimes there are even special offers where for an amount, the supply of drinks is unlimited.

Nightclubs with VIPs in Madrid and Barcelona

Currently in almost all if not all nightlife venues there is this type of offer. These will bring to the locals a higher income in a shorter period of time, so it really compensates them when investing, as well as limiting the space of the normal dance floor.

The average minimum price of a VIP in Madrid, usually revolves around 150€ to be divided generally between 5 attendees so the average usually pay at least 30€ to enjoy that space.
